GLOBAL DAY :  THE WORLD COMES TO  DARE VALLEY COUNTRY PARK!

An international, intercultural cornucopia of fun was promised for Sunday, 11^th July – and that is exactly what was to be found at Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare!

RCT Services for Young People’s Environmental Education Team stretched across the globe to bring the world to Aberdare, with wood carving demonstrations, art and drumming workshops from Africa, traditional art and craft from China, incredible sitar music from India, together with Samuel from Portugal on accordian, and the Klezmer Kollectiv getting everyone on their feet.  Our own culture was ably represented by the Cor Meibion Morlais, from Ferndale, who were in fine voice in the courtyard, and traditional Welsh folk tales for children by Mrs Alison Stone.
